In April 2011, my dad - George Shreves- left for a year-long civilian deployment to Afghanistan. This blog chronicles his adventures! The "BS" refers to the BS General Store and Saloon in Follets IA. A noted den of corruption, home to numerous horse-thieves and prostitutes, and proud owner of one of the last remaining claw machines in Iowa, the BS has become sort of a community center for those who are no longer allowed to represent their own communities. In short, it's awesome.
Since only a few at the people at the BS have computers I will be printing these updates out and sending them by horse-mail down the gravel roads that lead to the BS so they can be hammered to the nearest hitching post.
